Frigidaire dishwasher codes by control type
Frigidaire uses several control platforms, and the same code can mean different things on each. Find the section that matches your display, or enter your model number above.
In-depth code guides: Frigidaire dishwasher i20 code.
Frigidaire, Gallery and Professional dishwashers that show 'i' codes (i10, i20, i30…)
How to recognize it: Codes shown as i plus two characters; models without a display flash the code on the end-of-cycle LED (i10 = 1 flash, i50 = 5, iB0 = 11).
- Before March 2017 these dishwashers showed the user only the alarm family (for example i50 for any motor fault); newer units show the full code. The last three codes are stored and readable in service mode.
- Dishwashers without a numeric display show the code family as flashes of the end-of-cycle light: 1 flash = i10, 5 flashes = i50, 11 flashes = iB0.
- For heater over-temperature or heat-timeout codes the manufacturer says to descale with a dishwasher descaler according to its instructions — vinegar is not recommended — and not to replace the heater.
Codes marked Diagnostic mode are stored by the control and read with the recall procedure in the owner's guide or tech sheet, or by a technician.
| Code | What it means | What you can safely do |
|---|---|---|
| i10 | No water / water tap closed — the fill level was not reached in time during the first (static) fill; the dishwasher drains before showing the alarm. |
|
| i11 | Slow fill — the correct water level was not reached within about 120 seconds during a refill. |
|
| i20 | Draining problem — water not drained within the time limit (about 90 seconds). |
|
| i30 | Aqua Control: water detected in the base tray (overflow or leak), or the drain pump disconnected/open; the drain pump runs until the water is gone. |
|
| i40 | Pressure (water level) sensor problem family (older units show only the family code). | Professional diagnosis recommended. |

|
| i5F | Drain pump not connected (wiring, pump or board). | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i5b | Wash or drain pump current plausibility (may display as i5H). | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i5d | Drain pump over current. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i61 | Water too hot (above about 78°C / 172°F) — cycle stopped; check for a hot water supply that is too hot (older boards). | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i69 | Water temperature too high (over 78°C) — cycle terminated; heater and board are OK; check the incoming hot water. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i6C | Heat exchange efficiency low — the heater needs de-scaling; do not replace it. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i80 | Auto door opener malfunction (models with automatic door opening). | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i91 | Machine configuration checksum — electronics blocked; turning the dishwasher off and on can clear it. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i92 | Cycle configuration checksum. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i93 | User interface data checksum. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| iC0 | No user interface detected / communication problem — a power-off reset (5 minutes) is the first step, then the door harness and UI board. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| iC3 | Communication between power board and motor control board (DIVA2). | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| iF1 | Water level above the safety level — the drain pump runs and the cycle resumes when the level drops. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i45 Diagnostic mode | Pressure sensor calibration invalid (signal too low); old calibration used. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i46 Diagnostic mode | Pressure sensor calibration invalid (signal too high), e.g. water left after drain from a dirty drain filter, kinked hose or faulty no-return valve. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
| i60 Diagnostic mode | Heating problem family — temperature did not rise as expected; on older boards the cycle continues without heat. | Professional diagnosis recommended. |
