We repair Frigidaire built-in dishwashers that won't drain, leave dishes dirty, leak, won't dry, or won't start — at your home in Las Vegas, Henderson and Boulder City, with the repair price approved by you first.
Door gasket, overfilling, too much or wrong detergent, a loose hose connection, cracked tub or pump seal
Won't start
Door latch, control lock, power, control board
Stops mid-cycle
Float switch or leak sensor tripped, inlet valve, control
Won't fill
Supply valve under the sink, inlet valve, float switch
Not draining
Start with the safe checks:
Clean the filter in the bottom of the tub (most Frigidaire dishwashers have a removable filter assembly).
Check the drain hose under the sink for kinks.
Clean the air gap if your sink has one (the small cap near the faucet).
Run the garbage disposal before starting the dishwasher; a full disposal blocks drainage.
New garbage disposal? The knockout plug at the dishwasher inlet has to be removed when a disposal is installed.
If those are clear and water still stays behind, the drain pump is next. Glass fragments and fruit pits are what we usually find jammed in it.
Not cleaning well
Las Vegas hard water is a big factor. Mineral scale clogs spray-arm jets, leaves a white film on glasses and makes detergent less effective. Use rinse aid, a quality detergent, and clean the filter regularly. If the spray arms aren't turning or the dishwasher hums without a strong wash sound, the circulation pump or wash motor may be failing.
Leaks
Small puddles at the front left or right corner usually point to the door gasket, overfilling or suds from the wrong detergent. Water under the dishwasher that isn't visible at the door often comes from a hose connection, the inlet valve or the pump. Many Frigidaire dishwashers have a float or leak sensor that stops the cycle when it detects water in the base.

Why is there standing water in my Frigidaire dishwasher?
The most common causes are a clogged filter, a kinked drain hose, a blocked air gap or garbage disposal connection, or a drain pump jammed by debris. Clean the filter and check the hose first; if water still remains after a cycle, the pump or drain path needs a technician.
Why are my dishes coming out with a white film?
In Las Vegas that's usually hard-water mineral deposits. Use rinse aid, make sure the water entering the dishwasher is hot, and clean the filter. If the film persists, a technician can check fill levels, the heater and the wash system.
How long do dishwasher repairs take?
Most dishwasher repairs take about an hour at your home. Some repairs require pulling the dishwasher out from under the counter, which adds time.
Is it worth repairing an older dishwasher?
Pumps, valves, latches and sensors are usually worth repairing. A control board or wash motor on an older, lower-priced dishwasher can be a closer call; we'll give you the price first.
