Frigidaire freezer codes by control type
Frigidaire uses several control platforms, and the same code can mean different things on each. Find the section that matches your display, or enter your model number above.
Frigidaire upright freezers, chest freezers and convertible refrigerator/freezers
- Electronic-control upright freezers have a programmed 13-minute compressor restart delay after power is removed (4 minutes on all-refrigerators) — a freezer that stays quiet for several minutes after being plugged back in is normal.
- A freezer door left open more than 5 minutes triggers a beep every 10 seconds.
- Convertible units in refrigerator mode turn on a 40-watt auxiliary heater and the evaporator fan when the surrounding temperature drops below about 35°F, so the cabinet keeps cycling.
